Last year I did some freelance work for Speedshape, inc, in Michigan,
and produced a high res interior render of the 3
door Saturn Astra that was later converted into a
quicktime QTVR. For the project I also did a
couple of simple camera animations that show off
the the front seat and the glove box. The whole
thing can be viewed on Saturn's website, or by

R8 Commercial

Hello again, Maya has been working overtime here
lately, and I have some new stuff to show. I took my R8
model and this time stuck strictly with maya for
materials and rendering. My goal was to get similar
results with materials compared with vray using only
MIA Materials. I also wanted to incorpoate some of
Maya's Fluids and composite the thing together in a
Compsoiting package (After Effects). Plus I had taken
some Panorama Photographs from out near Mono Lake that
I finally got to put to use. I animated the car using
"Davvey's Car Rig" found on Highend3d.com. Finally I
edited the footage using FCP and below is the end
result. All in all I spent about a week on the project.

Audi R8

Its been a short while since I have updated things around here. First off I have a new demo reel which is available in the menu bar above. Below is the new Audi R8, I modeled this bad boy in Maya and gradually refined it up to a 1/2 million poly model. The base mesh for the body is a mere 900 polys. The render's were created with Vray using 3d Studio Max, All materials were created from scratch and the scene uses a studio HDRI and 4 Vray lights. All in all this project took about a week from start to final renders. My plan next would be to comp it into some live footage. hope you enjoy --cheers

Corsa Again?

Yes Yes another Corsa render, this time i had some horsepower behind this. These were 4k renders done as a test of vray at higher res with high sampling rates. The render's were done in 4k and took about 8hrs on a dual quad xeon (8 cpu's) using a qmcs rating of 2-12 and color threshold of .001(Vray Terminology). I can only imagine how long this wold have taken on my computer at home

Something Dark in an Alley

Im starting something new, and getting it done in a
hurry, a test for myself you might say. I am attempting
to create a alleyway that could be used in a video
game. This is a first of sorts for me, I am using
"normal" and "specular" maps to simulate bump and
shine(the subtle bumpiness on the bricks and around the
glass) without expensive raytracing. So far its been a
breeze to pick-up and looks pretty good on my graphics
card. I got much more to do, but I enjoy a good
challenge. I can't wait for the debris part, I have a
dynamics sim planned to help randomize the look of
crates, boxes and other trash that will litter the
street...you dirty people!!! Here are some screen
shots, that are rendered using only my graphics card
